These are great for Breakfast or Dessert and can be made with different fruits and nuts or a combination of your choice. Serve with flavored Cream Cheese, Sour Cream or Yogurt. Enjoy!
Ingredients to serve six:6 – 12 inch flour tortillas
1 cup cream cheese
1 cup grated Monterey jack cheese
3 Apples
A pinch of cinnamon
A pinch nutmeg
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup Walnuts chopped
½ stick butter
Method:
Grate apples into lemon water to keep them from turning brown then sauté them in the butter with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Prepare the tortillas by spreading 3 of them with the Cream and Monterey Cheese equally. Spread the apple mix next followed by the walnuts. Top with the other 3 tortillas.
Pan sauté in a little oil until golden brown on both sides till the cheese is soft and melted.
Allow to rest for a minute and cut into pie shaped triangles. Serve with Serve with flavored Cream Cheese, Sour Cream or Yogurt. Enjoy!
